Safe-Gard is a precision scored, tension-loaded forward acting rupture disc solution to suit a wide range of liquid gas and vapour applications. The Safe-Gard rupture disc acts as a reliable solution across a complete line of sizes, materials, burst pressures and process conditions. The single membrane, domed rupture disc combines the versatility of conventional metal discs with the performance benefits of scored technology making this one of the most advanced Forward-acting bursting discs on today’s market.
Forward Acting Disc with superior performance
Accurately scored on the vent-side for precise burst control and increased safety, Safe-Gard benefits from an industry best 5% tolerance with a 90% operating to burst pressure ratio. Its non-fragmenting design makes it ideal for relief valve isolation.
Full vacuum capability
Safe-Gard is a solid metal bursting disc with smooth surface finish. Available in Stainless Steel as standard as well as other materials upon request, with or without a process side liner. Elfab can manufacture Safe-Gard to be used in the harshest of operating conditions while maintaining high levels of corrosion resistance and superior leak tightness. For lower burst pressures Safe-Gard is available with an additional Vacuum support when back pressures or vacuums are present to further enhance the life cycle of the disc.
Cutting costs on rewiring
Safe-Gard is installed into Elfab’s forward-acting, raised face rupture disc holder.
It is fitted with the Flo-Tel actuator as standard to allow for use of Elfab’s unique, reusable, non-invasive burst detection system Flo-Tel™+. As the only ATEX, IECEx or XD approved detection system on the market, Flo-Tel has been offering significant cost savings to customers for almost 20 years. Elfab’s rupture disc holders are available in a wide range of materials and can be manufactured to fit a multitude of industry standard flange specifications.
