Forward Acting domed composite rupture disc
Domed Composite is a forward acting rupture disc and composite design to suit a wide range of customer applications and demanding process conditions. The Domed Composite (DCD) bursting disc acts as a non-fragmenting design with unique tri-membrane construction to provide improved protection and reliability for low to medium pressure applications.
Widest size and burst pressure range of any composite disc
Preformed to specific dome height for accurate burst pressure capability, this composite rupture disc is available in a wide range of sizes and materials to meet specific application requirements and burst pressures. Domed Composite acts as a non-fragmenting rupture disc design with an 85% operating to burst pressure ratio. Various slotting arrangements are manufactured to meet application requirements.
Full vacuum capability
Its non-fragmenting design makes it suitable for a range of applications including relief valve isolation. Its tri-membrane construction comprises a sealing membrane with a choice of metals ranging from Stainless Steel as standard to Hastelloy, Nickel, Inconel or Monel. The varying material options combined with its burst pressure and size range allows DCD to be used in various process conditions from 0.3barg to 20 barg. In conditions were vacuums are present the Dome Composite bursting disc is available with a choice of vacuum support to allow best free flow area upon burst.
Cutting costs on rewiring
Domed Composite is installed into Elfab’s forward-acting, raised face rupture disc holder and fitted with magnet as standard to allow for use of Elfab’s non-invasive burst detection system Flo-Tel™+. As the only reusable ATEX, IECEx or XD approved detection system on the market, Flo-Tel has been offering significant cost savings to customers for almost 20 years.
