Forward Acting rupture disc solution for high burst pressure applications
Conventional Domed is a versatile, solid metal domed disc which can be used to suit a wide range of burst pressures and process conditions. The Conventional Domed (CDD) is suitable for very high burst pressure applications, available in a wide range of materials and sizes.
Widest burst pressure range of any product type
The conventional domed disc offers the widest size and burst pressure range of any Elfab rupture disc product type. The size range of this product is available in sizes up to 800mm with a pressure range from 0.5barg to 1400barg. It is available in various materials from Stainless Steel as standard, to nickel and Inconel as well as others available on request meaning this rupture disc is suitable for a vast range of burst pressure applications.
Single design for full vacuum capability
When exposed to vacuum, the Conventional Domed bursting disc can be manufactured with back pressure support to withstand the harshest of operating conditions. No vacuum support is required above burst pressures of 30barg. With its solid metal construction and smooth surface finish, this forward acting rupture disc benefits from a 5% tolerance with an 85% operating to burst pressure ratio making it a reliable solution for various applications.
Cutting costs on rewiring
Conventional Domed is installed into Elfab’s forward-acting, raised face rupture disc holderand fitted with Flo-Tel™+ as standard. Flo-Tel is the only ATEX, IECEx or XD approved detection on the market and it’s been offering significant cost savings to customers for almost 20 years.
When it comes to harsh operating conditions, Elfab can supply a wide range of rupture disc holders, manufactured to fit a multitude of industry standard flange specifications.
